Bay Area Book Festival BART Train Ride

After the rush of a successful day
meeting meeting Berkeley concert
I found myself sleeping on BART
the next day on my way to another event
I wake myself to catch the view
The sun is bleak promising more
My book in lap tired of reading
the lull of the train
the electric noise
the smooth sailing of the
gliding track
Anxious for my time appointed meeting
Meeting my friend on the
other end
Sleeps overtakes me again
Can you really rest on BART
So much people watching to do
Tunnels dark
Bike dropped on the seat
in front of me
Bikes don't go there
Observe another bike in the
reserved bike spot
Matching couple on BART
Colorful Blue shirts
my favorite color
With matching hats
Time's up next stop mine
The couple disembarks with me

Primary Dreams

Little Boy

Dreaming of a full moon
For each that passes by
To let the stars shine
Through that passing smile

Little Girl

Dreaming of a first love
That first kiss
Under the night shadow
of the Transamerica building

Travel the beat of
music from above
Travel amongst the cosmos,
moons, dwarf planets,
constellations yet unseen
The moon glows
The crescent wanes
Blue is blue as white
My lover returns on a
Summer night's cool breeze
Star shine upon the water
The dreamer dreams
